Osteoarthritis (OA) is a degenerative and alignment disorder. Typically a patient feels swelling, pain, tenderness, reduced movement and cracking sound in the knee.

Osteoarthritis does involve the entire joint. it's nearby structures such as muscles, ligaments, cartilage underlying bone and the joint capsule are adversely effected. In advance cases the bones remodels. Legs of an knee osteoarthritis patient may become like a 'bow'.

Causes
Apart from trauma / injury, Inflammatory joint disease, Congenital / developmental irregularities there are a lot of daily activities which can cause or trigger the Osteo-arthiritis in the knee joint such as
